The state of funding for women in Australia (and around the world) is abysmal. 

We know there's bias against women during the pitching process but we also know bias against women in STEM starts as young as kindergarten. 


The latest stats on the tiny % of funding that goes to female founders from Cut Through Venture & Folklore Ventures report.

In this Business Insider article deep diving into Carta’s latest data shows that VC downturn hits female founders hardest, with Carta's latest data revealing a stark gender gap in funding. 

  • More women have received more funding at the seed level (+5%), but overall, women-led teams still received <3% of total venture funds -  the lowest in four years. 

  • There are fewer female founders overall, too - female founders fell from 15% to 13% of total founders.
